Built above the clouds
Dumbo Eco Camp is a small, family-built camp on Gomi Mountain in Guria — three timber cottages above the village, facing the valley that fills with a sea of fog at sunrise.
Everything here moves deliberately slowly: local timber and local hands built the cottages, the sun powers the camp, mornings stretch out over coffee on the terrace, and evenings end around the fire. We built the place we wanted to escape to — and then opened the door.
A place to slow down
No agenda, no checklist. Just space — physical and mental — to do less, notice more, and remember what rest actually feels like.
Built with what's around us
Local materials, local craftspeople, local food. The camp is part of its valley, not stamped onto it.
Strangers around a fire
Some of the best meals here are between people who only met that morning. We make space for that to happen.
From a quiet hill to a place to gather
Drag the slider to see the transformation. Every cabin took months — and a lot of help from neighbours.

Light footprint by design
The camp runs on solar power, is built from local timber, and carries its waste back down the mountain. Part of every stay supports community projects in the villages below — and we are honest about what we can do today and what we are still working on.
